ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am a Scenic and Fiber Artist living in Charlotte, NC. I graduated from Elon University in 2017 with a degree in drama and immediately began working as a freelance scenic artist. In the past five years I have worked with companies like the Weston Theatre, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Pink Sparrow, Bednark Studio, Fever Productions, and more. My passion is theatrical scenic work, but I also have extensive experience in spray painting, finishing, and art installation. In addition to my scenic work, I also create fiber art which focuses mainly on the human body and how our perceptions of ourselves spiritually can contort our evaluation of our physical bodies. Both in and out of the studio I work to engage with and create art that addresses social issues important to me including racial justice, LGBT+ rights, gender equality, disability rights, and prison abolition.
